Financial Coaching

Would you like to manage your money rather than having money manage you? Helping people achieve financial independence and peace is in our DNA at ACFCU. Our Member Development team specializes in money management and financial coaching, but our ability to help is broader than that. All of our front line representatives are trained to help members grow financially, wherever they may be in their journey. And if other resources are needed, we partner with GreenPath Financial Wellness, a highly regarded national financial counseling service.

Most of the time, though, you'll be able to get everything you need working with us. Our own financial wellness program, myMoneyTRACK Solutions, is nationally recognized. Its combination of workshops and loan/deposit products has helped hundreds of ACFCU members get control of their finances, raise their credit scores and LOWER their stress levels. Our expert financial coaches provide the tools and knowledge to help members gain financial freedom. Schedule your FREE Financial Check Up today with a member from our Member Development team. Stop by a branch and ask about a financial assessment. Or call Member Communications at 800-378-3778. You won't regret it!

What We Do and Why We Do It

FinancialCheckUp_thumbnailSocial responsibility is a common catch phrase these days. Many businesses simply pay lip service to the idea. ACFCU lives it, and the world is taking notice. We're putting more than $3 million of recently received grant money and seed capital to work helping moderate-income families become homeowners and using technology to provide high-quality financial services to isolated rural areas where predatory lending is all too common.

We provide economic and community development to underserved people and communities in Central Appalachia -- not because it sounds good, but because it's the right thing to do. And because so many of us at every income level struggle with financial health and financial literacy, we put financial coaching and counseling at the center of all we do.

How We Do It

Financial Assessment

We will thoroughly assess household income and expenses, review credit history, find places to save money and develop an action plan for improving credit scores and achieving financial goals.

GreenPath

We have much to offer when it comes to financial coaching, credit repair and the rest of it. The needs are great in our region, though, and sometimes your best option will include using the nation's premier non-profit financial wellness organization. That's where our partnership with GreenPath comes in.

GreenPath helped more than 200,000 Americans last year, living their mission of "empowering people to live financially healthy lives." Like us, they're a non-profit, and they've been providing their great services since 1961.
